John C Mannix, Jr.

John has focused on Estate Planning, Estates & Trusts, and Elder Law in Albany, Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls and the Adirondacks for more than 25 years.

He has represented hundreds of executors and trustees, and has extensive experience in the analysis and settlement of estates and trusts.

John is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of New Hampshire Law School.

He began his law career in New York City at Hale, Grant, Meyerson, O’Brien & McCormack. Then moved north to join Miller, Mannix & Pratt in Glens Falls, New York. He began his own law practice in Saratoga Springs in 1995.

John is an experienced attorney. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York, and the New York State Bar Association’s sections for Trusts & Estates, Real Property and Elder Law. He is a also member of the Saratoga and Warren County Bar Associations. John serves on the Board of Directors of the Warren County Bar Foundation, and the Robert J. Nolan Foundation. John is or has been a member of the Saratoga Care Foundation Board of Directors, The Saratoga Care Legacy Society for Estate Planners, and the Glens Falls Hospital’s Legacy Society for Estate Planning Professionals.

He is recognized by his peers for his high achievement and high ethical standards (Martindale).

John and his family reside in Saratoga County. He enjoys boating and skiing with his wife and five children.

Kathleen Mannix

Kathleen earned her M.B.A at Cornell University and now focuses on the administration and settlement of trusts and estates, and all aspects of charitable organizations’ reporting and compliance.

She ensures the thorough identification, analysis and collection of assets. She prepares fiduciary accountings for judicial settlement, whether formal or informal, contested or uncontested.

She evaluates the financial and strategic impact of business contracts, and assists with estate and trust litigation.

She drafts correspondence and other documents to clients, and other interested parties to keep the estate or trust settlement process moving forward towards a timely and efficient completion.

In addition to her M.B.A. from Cornell University, she also has a B.S. in Applied Economics & Management from Cornell.

Before joining the law firm, Kathleen was the Senior Manager of Mergers, Acquisitions & New Business Development at The Dun & Bradstreet Corp. in New York City, New York. Prior to that position, she was an Investment Manager at Dun & Bradstreet, investing in Municipal Bonds. She started her career, after business school, as a financial analyst for Bristol Myers-Squibb.

Kathleen in currently on the Board of Directors of Saratoga PLAN. She is also the Treasurer of Birthright Inc. of Saratoga County. Previously, she served on the Board of Directors for the Fort William Henry Corp in Lake George, NY, and the Finance Committee for St. Clement’s Parish in Saratoga.

Kathleen resides in Saratoga County with her husband John. She is the lucky mom of five great kids.
